You will learn basic embroidery techniques that will be the foundation for learning the skills necessary for production hand embroidery.  Even if you already have basic skills, this class will help you develop particular habits and improved techniques essential for professional level work.

 

5  DAYS  WHITEWORK HAND EMBROIDERY FOR EMBELLISHMENT

In this course, you will discover and develop basic whitework  stitches and techniques used in creating beautiful upper end fine linens  particularly found in the home decor markets.   There are many nuances that you will need to develop in order to create an authentic embroidery.  Most of the motifs you will practice will become a repertoire of stitching techniques and styles that are recognizable and timeless in fine linens. These fine styles and techniques will help you develop a high standard of quality and proficiency as a professional.

5  DAYS CLASSICAL MONOGRAMS FOR EMBELLISHMENT -  FASHION - HOME DECOR

 

The next level in your skills training will be obtaining the time honored skill and art form of hand monogramming  These techniques will be most valuable in becoming a professional hand embroiderer and will be a great investment for your future . Once mastered, you will be able to receive commissioned and contracted embroidery work in the home decor markets, the fashion accessory market, and perhaps creating your own hand monogramming business.  This class will  present the basics for achieving authentic fine hand embroidered monograms.  

NOTE:   Suitable classes in hand hemstitching and linen making - table top linens - home decor accessories.

 

6  DAYS  TRADITIONAL MEN'S FASHION  - PROFESSIONAL HAND MONOGRAMS

This special focus is upon traditional  monograms for men's clothing & accessories.  An unusual profession working with top ateliers - master tailors -  fashion designers in bespoke men's fashion.

NOTE:  Additional classes in hand hemstitching/hand rolling men's accessories is highly recommended.  Learn how to make classic  handkerchiefs - scarves - pocket squares - these are important bespoke fashion accessories for men.

5 DAYS  HAND HEMSTITCHING - HAND ROLLING FINE LINEN ACCESSORIES

A unique class in the art of fine hand hemstitching and hand rolling handkerchiefs, pocket squares,  high end finishing techniques for fine linen.   With the addition of personalized monogramming, these skills are highly sought after in Men's fashion.

CERTIFICATE COURSE IN MASTERING TABLE TOP LINENS  & ACCESSORIES

 

10 DAYS - MASTERING TABLE TOP LINENS

 

This class will begin with learning traditional hand hemstitching and hand mitering techniques to create couture bespoke fine linens for the table.  This course will define and explore the many styles,  looks, and sizes in creating a fashionable table using fine linen.   In this class, you will create a fine hand hemstitched linen set.   This will be a study in creating a set of linens for a client with hand embroidered embellishment/and or monogram.   The set will include a cocktail napkin, dinner napkin, placemat, and table runner.   All pieces will be completed during the class.

5 DAYS - HAND EMBROIDERY ON TABLE TOP LINENS

Once the table top linen set has been completed, the student will then select, create, and stitch a traditional motif or monogram on the table top linens.    The student will learn how to create - trace - size - and transfer their design onto their linen set.  A color scheme will be selected and style of stitching implemented to complete the table top linen set.    Design and style books will be furnished during the class.

3 DAYS - GUEST TOWEL LINEN CREATIONS

This adjunct class continues with creating a complimentary set of three hand hemstitched guest towels for the powder room.  The student will layout, cut, hand hemstitch 3 sizes of towels and select a complimentary embroidery motif/or monogram for this linen set.

2 DAYS HAND EMBROIDERY ON GUEST TOWEL CREATIONS

The student will create - trace - size and transfer their design onto their linen set.  A color scheme will be selected and style of stitching implemented to complete the 3 piece towel set.  Design and style books will be furnished for the student to select from.
