Basic Embroidery 
     4 Day Class   
 
 A Three or Four  Day Class exploring the Basics for fine hand embroidery  The class will focus upon foundational stitches necessary for development into more intermediate and advanced stitching. The student will learn particular stitches used in fine hand embroidered motifs found in home decor,  linens & embellishment for clothing.

Day 1-2:  You will be furnished with a beginner's sampler - this sampler will enable you to practice and explore how to achieve excellence in the foundation stitches used in traditional hand embroidery.  Although the stitches are not difficult, you will be coached and assisted in perfecting your stitching.
​
Day 3-4
On the third day, you will learn how to trace and transfer your own motifs onto fabric. This is a simple and easy technique that will provide perfect transfers each and every time without drawing or leaving marks on your textile.  ​
You will also hand embroider a compiled Art Nouveau motif that is a compilation of the stitches learned and perfected on the first two days of your class.   You will be stitching beautifully from taking this foundational class.
