Basic Embroidery I-IV
     4 Day Class   
 
 A Three or Four  Day Class exploring the Basics for fine hand embroidery  The class will focus upon foundational stitches necessary for development into more intermediate and advanced stitching. The student will learn particular stitches used in fine hand embroidered motifs found in home decor,  linens & embellishment for clothing.

Day I -II:  You will be furnished with a beginner's sampler - this sampler will enable you to practice and explore how to achieve excellence in the foundation stitches used in traditional hand embroidery.  Although the stitches are not difficult, you will be coached and assisted in perfecting your stitching.
​
Day II-IV:  A second sampler will be introduced with authentic motifs from the Art Nouveau period.   These beautiful and flowing motifs will be used to continue exploring the stitch techniques from Day I-II.  As you focus upon perfecting your stitches, you will then be better prepared for more advanced work.  
Adding Day IV is recommended in order to accomplish the second sampler well.
 
Our classes build upon each other.  This class will prepare you for learning the next basics in whitework embroidery. You will then be prepared to work with more intermediate skills such as whitework embroidery.
Basic Embroidery and Whitework can be taken together - as they both compliment one another.

This is an excellent class for beginners to intermediate levels.
